Van life started as a pursuit of freedom but became a lesson in resilience. Living in The Blue Kahuna, my 1987 Westfalia, brought stunning sunsets, constant tinkering, and the reality of winter’s challenges. Despite the hardships, I discovered a true sense of home—one not tied to a single place but to the experiences and connections along the way. Ultimately, this journey led me to a more intentional life on Vancouver Island.
