All pick-ups and drop-offs will occur at Base Camp headquarters, in Duncan BC. Duncan is located midway between Victoria and Nanaimo. We can help arrange ground transportation. This is a great place to start your trip, with amazing wineries, swimming holes, bike trails and farm stands.
For rentals of ten nights or more, we can pick up clients in Nanaimo or Victoria at the airport or ferry terminal (minimum seven days notice for travel arrangements). For shorter rentals, a $100 fee applies.
Ground transportation can be arranged via VIConnector.com or IslandLinkBus.com, who serve the airports, ferry terminals, Vancouver and Victoria and travel near Duncan. I will pick clients up in Duncan or for no fee.

SHOULDER SEASON / APRIL 16 - JUNE 15, SEPT 16 - OCT 15
$200 PER NIGHT, $1300 PER WEEK
Shoulder season is a great time to visit Vancouver Island and enjoy its natural beauty and attractions. It's the period between the peak and off-peak seasons, usually from April to June and September to October. During this time, you can find lower prices, fewer crowds, and milder weather than in the summer or winter.
LOW SEASON / OCT 16 - APRIL 15
$185 PER NIGHT, $1200 PER WEEK
Low season on Vancouver Island is a great time to visit for those who love nature, culture and adventure. From October to April, you can enjoy lower prices, fewer crowds and milder weather than the mainland.

Prices are on a 24-hour basis. Vans will be made available for pick-up at 2pm on their date of departure, and are expected back at 11am on their scheduled date of return. There is a $50 charge for late returns. After 4 hours you will be charged for another night, so please be on time! Help others enjoy their adventure on schedule.
All Prices include 150 kilometers per day. Extra kilometers are 35 cents per kilometer.
Rentals that overlap on different seasons are priced based on the number of days in each season.

Base Camp requires an additional charge of $1000 on your credit card to serve as a security deposit for each rental. More information can be found here.
There are no hidden charges, no vehicle provisioning charges, no vehicle preparation fees, no sanitation fees, and no charge for additional drivers.

reservations & cancellations
A Reservation Deposit of CAD $500 is required at the time of booking. The receipt of this deposit does not imply acceptance of the booking by Base Camp Adventure Rentals (Base Camp).
All cancellations must be in writing. For cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the scheduled date of departure 50% of the Reservation Deposit shall be forfeited. Cancellations made less than 60 days prior to the date of departure forfeit the entire Reservation Deposit. Cancellations made within seven days of the rental start date must pay the entire rental fee.
